This is my Story
Ever since I was a kid, I thought that life was to be good and do good and if not karma gets to you. It was that simple to me, my goal was to be a good student, a good daughter, a good employee, and a good future wife. If I follow the rules and make everyone around happy, I am doing my job of achieving a content life.
My favourite answer to all personal questions directed at me was “I don’t know”. I was a lost child trying to figure out how to grow up. I was indecisive and would rather have someone tell me what to do and to just write out my path for me.
In 2017, I was 24 and my life changed 180. I had a stroke. After my stroke and taking a year off to recover, I realised I would have a lot of regrets if I settled. From that day on, I decided to take charge of my own life and to start loving myself. No longer pleasing anyone,I started the journey of trying to find myself and to grow along the way.
Bit by bit, I started with challenges to find out what I like versus what I don’t like. Also, it helped me develop habits that enhanced my journey towards growing an Anita.
So, I started A Stroke of Life to share all the knowledge and challenges I faced and will continue on facing through my journey of life. I hope I can also empower you to do the same, to start your own journey of loving yourself, growing yourself, and finding yourself in this journey called life.
